Give your garden pots and garden patches a romantic glow with votive candles using martini or wine glasses. The stem of the wine glass gives it the perfect height and a steady base. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Wine or martini glasses
- Tea light candles
- Water
Position your glass at the bottom of the pot or patch, making sure you anchor it properly by burying the bottom in the soil, enough to make it steady. Pour water to fill at least a third of the glass, enough to float the tea light but leaving enough glass to protect it against wind.
Tip:
Use stemmed glasses in an assortment of either sizes or colors to make it more interesting
You may use more than one glass per area or pot for a brighter glow.
