A rap on aging

Growing old, yeah

It’s an age denial process

When the body build regresses

Thinning, silv’ry hair marks the mellowing years

So do creaking knees, wobbling gait and stooping shoulders

But not to get aback and fear

Nay, no excuses to offer

Coloring lotion and soothing balm

Conceal the aging, quell the pain and keep you calm

Such things just naturally come

Just shake ’em off—such sneaky troubles

Do the cha-cha to and fro

Or sway your hips in a rhumba duo

Or chant a tune in a rock-beat fashion

Simply sporting a hype with satisfaction

To pedicab drivers and market vendors

You’re Mother Galore with a knowing smile

Ah… Time to shed off weary wrinkles

A lengthy visit to the parlor…

Age denial ends in style.
