Micropatterns are big this season. What used to be on ties now appears on everything from jeans and windbreakers to waistcoats, skirts and blouses.

Swatch dives into the trend with typical verve and fashion smarts: multicolor microprints expand from dials to bezels, cases and straps. The microprints seen in Swatch’s For the Love of Patterns collection reveal a keen sense of style.

Highlights are a blue-and-white polka dot print and a Prince of Wales check in black-and-white. Other styles to look out for include the Swatch Green Spell and Swatch Zebratian. There are also models that have more subdued patterns like the Swatch Flying Carpet and Swatch Breezy Feather.

The latest additions to this cool theme are the stylish yet sporty Irony Chrono models. The Swatch Skybond comes in the popular Nato (fabric) straps in smart casual shades of blue, gray and black, while the Swatch Daikanyama features an unexpected white silicone strap with embossed alligator pattern and red stitching.
