Aliwan Fiesta is the summer festival. It showcases winners of local street dance from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
Now on its 12th year, Aliwan has naturally become a showdown of champions, thus bringing to Manila the best of the best in Philippine street dancing.
Beyond the fanfare and spectacle, the achievement of Aliwan Fiesta is the elevation of artistic standards in street dancing and the celebration of cultural diversity in our country.
As a contemporary artistic expression of local arts and culture, festival street dance is now respected for its creative value and admired for its contribution to community-building.
The grand opening parade will be on April 26, kicking off at the Quirino Grandstand at 4 p.m. and making its way to Aliw Theater at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex.
