MANILA, Philippines—Craving your favorite Filipino comfort food such as adobo, sinigang, or pinakbet? There is no need to look too far or head to a restaurant for a quality meal. These well-loved Pinoy favorites are now available anytime, anywhere at 7-Eleven.

This May, Philippine Seven Corporation (PSC), country licensee of leading convenience store chain, 7-Eleven, launched Chef Creations, a line of premium meals that promotes Filipino cuisine and offers customers healthy and restaurant-quality meal at an affordable price.

7-Eleven teamed up with Chef Claude Tayag, the man behind the Bale Dutung (or House of Wood, as it is known in Kapampangan) in Angeles City, Pampanga. Bale Dutung is Chef Claude’s own home turned restaurant that has been a long-time favorite foodie destination.

Chef Claude’s cuisine has also received glowing reviews from Anthony Bourdain himself, the famous American chef, author and host of the CNN travel and food show “No Reservations”.

“It made perfect sense to partner with Chef Claude as he is one of the foremost advocates of Filipino cuisine to the world. He knows exactly how to bring out familiar flavors we know and love and every dish from his kitchen can be considered a work of art,” said Victor Paterno, PSC President and CEO.

7-Eleven’s Chef Creations meals are not your average ready-to-eat meals. They are made using only natural ingredients and are slow-cooked to bring out that distinct Filipino taste.

According to Chef Claude, “I chose to tie up with 7-Eleven because they were willing to work with my philosophy of cooking nutritious and balanced meals without sacrificing taste. By partnering with 7-Eleven, more people can now have easy access to healthy dishes.”

Chef Creations are prepared through PSC’s commissary, which is equipped with state-of-the-art cooking facilities. Chef Claude personally pre-selected quality ingredients with the commissary to bring out the taste he approves.
