MANILA, Philippines – Celebrated French Chef Gils Brault and his son, Guillaume, will charm their way into every Filipino’s hearts and stomachs as they open Le Jardin this month.
Chef Gils’ love affair with cooking started at the tender age of 14. As a young chef, he trained in the finest kitchens of France such as Le Bonne Auberge, Bacon cap Antibes, Cuisine Novelle, Chateau d’Artigny and Cabestan. He also explored the wonderful world of wines and spent a few years honing his craft as a sommelier at the French Riviera, New York and London.
In 1991, Chef Gils opened Couer Gourmand, and made it a tremendous success in just four months.
In 1995, he opened Le Trois Gourmands in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. Connoisseurs from all over the world would flock to this restaurant all for a taste of their famed dishes— Crab Tartare, Scrambled Eggs with Truffles, Beef Cheeks with Foie Gras, Raspberry mille feuille, and a glass of calvados to name a few.
Following the success of Le Trois Gourmands, the dynamic father and son duo decided to share their passion for French cuisine to the Filipino gourmet set through their newest restaurant, Le Jardin.
Le Jardin will serve authentic French fare, inspired by a distinct local flair. Only the freshest produce and ingredients have been sourced out to fit the Filipino palate. They will also feature an intensive and exclusive wine pairing program from small, independent wine producers from France, who have been working with Chef Gils for over 25 years.
Le Jardin is located W5th building, 5th avenue corner 32nd street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. For more information, please call Kate Sangco of MITH at 0917-5621708. Reservations at 0917-8176584.
