With the Holy Week behind us, now is probably the best time to get away from the city and go on that beach holiday you have been thinking of. So if you are looking for a place to escape for several days and cool down this summer, Bellevue Resort in Bohol is the place to go.

THE RESORT fairly glows in this night shot.

Located on Doljo Beach on Panglao Island, it is just a short 30-minute drive from Tagbilaran Airport.

Part of the Bellevue group of hotels, the resort boasts 159 luxury rooms, offering the same quality of service that Bellevue is known for. Guests have a choice between an oversized  king or two queen beds, and all rooms come with LED TVs, coffee maker, iPod-ready stereos and free WiFi—an ideal place for small families or groups.

There are dining options as well as bars, each with its unique style and flavors. Lamian offers a buffet of local and international favorites, while Marea will give you a choice of some of the best a la carte dishes on the island.  The lechon kawali, sinigang and burgers are some of the favorites as well as fresh seafood, which can be prepared in a variety of ways.

Water sports

As for things to keep you occupied, Bellevue offers several water sports like sailing, jet skiing and windsurfing, but the best thing is really to just wade in the cool waters of the pool while enjoying one of Bellevue’s signature cocktails.

For those traveling with kids, the pool is between two and four feet deep, with the exception of the far end, which is 12 feet deep.  Clearly marked and separated by buoys, it is for those who like diving into the pool.

PENDANT lamps instead of table lamps are a nice touch.

When things get a little too hot, guests can visit the playroom/game room and try their hand at video games, fussball and table tennis while waiting for the sun to go down.

For those with time to spare, go on a sight-seeing tour of Bohol. See the famous Chocolate Hills and tarsiers and have lunch on the Loboc River.  Then drive back to the resort in time to watch a beautiful sunset paint the sky with a kaleidoscope of colors.

Bellevue currently has extended its Holy Week promo of P17,777 until the end April.  Guests who avail themselves can enjoy a three-day/two-night stay in a deluxe room inclusive of breakfast, round trip airport transfers and a choice of aqua sports activities that include sailing on a hobie cat, wind surfing or rolling around the sea inside a nuclear ball.  They will also enjoy 20 percent discount on food and spa treatments.
