In a new Montblanc global campaign, actor Hugh Jackman shares his stories of inspiration and dedication, a journey driven by his desire to keep breaking new ground.
In the spirit of the iconic Montblanc Meisterstück pen “crafted for new heights,” the award-winning actor is shown preparing for his next big role on and off the screen, set on achieving new heights.
Jackman gives unique insight in the campaign film directed by Martin Campbell, director of two James Bond movies. It opens with the actor jotting down his thoughts with his Meisterstück pen. The following scenes show him in Sydney and New York, from his childhood dreams to his achievements in adulthood.
Finally, the film reveals who is telling Jackman’s story—it’s his Meisterstück.
This iconic writing instrument, which broke new ground with its launch 90 years ago, is newly interpreted in a special red gold design.
“Crafted for new heights,” his Montblanc pen and watch become his fine lifetime companions.
In a print campaign shot by renowned photographer Nathaniel Goldberg, Jackman is portrayed in a sequence of film-like images backstage. In a first motif, the actor rehearses the lines for his latest role while annotating his script with his 90 year-old Meisterstück fountain pen.
In another scene, Jackman is shown in a discussion, his raised hand revealing the new Meisterstück Heritage Moonphase timepiece.
Jackman was introduced as the face of the brand during the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in Geneva last January. He appears in print and online advertising globally, except in the US.
Montblanc is exclusively available in Rustan’s Makati, Rustan’s Shangri-La and Newport Mall, Resorts World.
