Breaking the karmic cycle | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

I have been conducting my one-day seminar on Soulmates, Karma and Reincarnation (SKR) in the Philippines and other parts of the world since 1988, but I seldom get written feedback on what participants have experienced in the course, during which I conduct two past life hypnotic regressions to help them remember their past lives and the lives they have had with a present mate, lover, or any person of their choice.

Most participants would rather keep their discoveries to themselves. That’s why I found it especially gratifying to get a text message from Rachel (not her real name), who took the SKR seminar last year. She said her life has been transformed because of what she discovered about her past life doing the regression.

Here’s Rachel’s amazing story:

“Sir Jimmy, I’ve been texting your other number, but got no answer. Anyway, I just want to thank you for your help. You may not know you are helping a lot of people with your work, and I am one of them.

“My life changed after I took your SKR seminar. I have learned to forgive. An employee of mine whom I trusted so much stole money from me. I was so mad, not because she had stolen from me but because I felt betrayed. I treated her like a friend/sister.

“I was about to press charges against her when I read your article about karma, where you announced a seminar you were conducting.

“I took your SKR seminar, and during the past life hypnotic regression, I found out that I owed this employee a lot in a past life.

“In the past, I was her servant, and I stole her husband from her. Now, in this lifetime, I almost committed the same mistake. I had an affair with her husband, but I ended it. And his wife never found out about it.

“I want the karmic cycle to stop. So I forgave her and did not press any charges anymore.

“We never see each other anymore.

“It’s been a year since I took your seminar. Only now did I have the courage to share my experience with you.

“I hope to meet you again someday. Sir, thank you so much!

—Rachel”

I wish to thank Rachel for sharing her very personal, life-changing  story. This is one reason why it is important for us to know our past lives and the relationships we have had with the people around us.

Tolerant and forgiving

We cannot escape the consequences of what we did in the past. This is the inscrutable and inescapable Law of Karma. What we did in the past will come back to haunt us in our present and future lives. This is also known as the Law of Compensation or the Law of Universal Justice.

Knowing what we did to others in the past will make us more tolerant and forgiving, knowing that we may have done the same thing to those who have wronged us in the present life. This is what Rachel found out in her past life regression, and she decided to break the karmic cycle by not committing the same mistake in the present.

Another story of karmic consequence of past life actions happened to a British businessman named John who told me his story.

Back in England, John established a school and hired a professional manager to run it. The school flourished and John invested more money in it. After five years, the manager, whom he had hired and trusted, ran off with his money. In his anger, John filed a lawsuit against this man.

While the suit was pending in court, John was invited by a Dutch couple friend of his to visit Sathya Sai Baba in India. Sai Baba has hundreds of thousands of followers in India, but more outside his own country. He is known for his ability to materialize things out of nowhere, read minds and heal the sick. He is considered a “miracle man of God” by his followers. He died only a few years ago, as he had predicted.

While John was standing outside Sai Baba’s ashram, or temple, together with thousands of other followers, Sai Baba passed by them. When he saw John, he stopped and asked John to see him, calling him by name, although they were not introduced.

Inside the ashram, Sai Baba told John about a very personal and private incident that happened to him and his cousin when he was 12 years old. While still wondering how on earth Sai Baba knew about that incident, Sai Baba continued, “And John, I want you to forget that man who ran away with your money in England, because in a previous life you did something worse to him.”

Sai Baba told John that in a past life, John was a warlord in 16th-century Italy. And this man and his family were his vassals. “During that lifetime,” Sai Baba told John, “not only did you steal this man’s property, you even raped his wife and his daughter.”

When John heard this, he cried like a baby in front of Sai Baba. When he got back to England, he instructed his lawyer to drop the case against his former school manager. He broke the karmic cycle by forgiving a trusted man who stole money from him.
