Artist J. Consunji is holding his first solo exhibit, “8 x 8,” starting May 22 at Altro Mondo Gallery (Picasso Hotel, 119 LP Leviste St., Salcedo Village, Makati City).

 

The exhibit consists of works in oil or acrylic on canvas and watercolor on paper, depicting the “inner energy that connects with the formal characteristics of painting.”

 

The imagery consists of depictions of figures in meditative, receptive and introspective states.

 

Born in 1980, Consunji studied at the Australian National University, Canberra, and joined an exchange program of the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris.
