Have you met Miss Jones?

We are still on a fever high with Kim Jones, former Aussie model, a Filipino-British who grew up in Australia, turned in-demand TV host of ETC’s lifestyle show “ETCetera” (now on its fifth season).

She’s also a stylish blogger and THE “legal wife” of actor Jericho Rosales.  They tied the knot in Boracay last May 1.

When Echo introduced her to the public as “the one,” we just knew we had to hit the button and start stalking (oops, following) her on IG. Through her diary/blog “Miss Jones”  (www. kimjones.com) we know more about her.

On her blog, she fuses luscious fashion images with her feminine fashion sense. Our sartorial brains were instantly hardwired! She plans to reintroduce the 2.0 version of her blog on June 18, a product of months of preparation, tweaks, and designing, which, she says, “I’ve really poured my heart and soul into creating a blog my readers will enjoy reading and scrolling through.” Stay tuned.

Miss Kim Jones is poised to become one of the most influential style bloggers to hit local shores.

My style is… laid-back and feminine. I enjoy wearing a lot of color and I find the 1950s silhouette so flattering.

My uniform consists of… incorporating tailored pieces in my outfits—blazers, pleated trousers, etc. Most of the time, I’m in a camisole, trousers, a blazer, and bright pumps.

Quirkiest fashion item: A shawl made of turkey feathers. I’ve never worn it, but I adore it to bits. I’m waiting for it’s perfect complement, then I plan to shoot it for the blog.

My forever piece: My Celine Trio bag, I use it everywhere. It is the most practical bag I’ve owned. Perfect for meetings, shoots and travels.

The most versatile piece in my closet: My black Jimmy Choo Anouk pumps. I wear them endlessly. They are sleek enough to wear to meetings, but sophisticated enough to wear to an event or a night-out.

Top 3 style mavens I follow on social media: Giovanna Battaglia, Yasmin Sewell and Miroslava Duma. The three are just masters in styling. Battaglia and Sewell have the effortless, I-just-woke-up-and-threw-this-on vibe about them and I love that, like they just rolled out of bed in Balenciaga.

Duma has a sleeker, more refined style. I love that she wears a lot of separates and suits and combines the feminine with the structured and tailored. They all incorporate a lot of color into their outfits. Whenever it’s Fashion Week, I’m not ashamed to admit those three are the ones I hunt down and screenshoot in their street-style photos. I also love that they’re all friends.

Three items every girl should have in their wardrobe: Patent pumps—red or black, a fitted pencil skirt, and a strong, structured blazer. I find those pieces the most flattering on any woman.

Best style advice given me: Fit is everything. We are very blessed and fortunate to have access to such affordable tailoring and alteration services. I am at an alterations store almost every two weeks to get things taken in/lengthened/shortened. You will look and feel best if your outfit looks and feels as though it were made for you.

Go-to designers: I love Vania Romoff, Francis Libiran and Xernan Orticio. They all have very different aesthetics, but all are so incredibly talented.

Fashion fairy-tale moment: It has to be my bridal moment. I felt amazing in my Vania Romoff dress; it was everything I wanted in a wedding gown and more! We spent months planning

that gown and all of the details were perfect—from the hidden slit, to the backless detail, to the French lace. I remember I couldn’t stop stroking and ogling it before the ceremony. I was in sartorial heaven, and it will forever be the most beautiful dress I have ever worn.

Beauty vice: Red lipstick. It just has this amazing power to lift an outfit. My favorite shade is “Lady Danger” by MAC. It is for me the perfect, bright shade of red.

The most stylish thing I’ve done today: I’m in Tokyo now. I spent the day window-shopping in Omotesando Hills—strolling up and down the streets or peering into the likes of Chloe, Balenciaga, Miu Miu and Celine. It was a very happy day for me, even though I bought nothing.

Echo’s fave scent on me is… the one I was wearing when I first met him, Bulgari Rose Essentielle. It’s been discontinued, which has urged me to use it sparingly and hoard as many bottles as I can when I do find it still being sold, but it is by far my favorite scent, too. It’s light and feminine without being too sweet.

Honeymoon glitz . . . but happier.

Did you know?

JERICHO Rosales and his bride Kim

1. Kim has never felt stronger and more empowered than after being married. “You become part of a team and he is wonderfully supportive of my goals and my dreams, as I am of his. In short, I’m just so much happier!”

2. She almost didn’t make it to her honeymoon trip. She lost her passport and missed her flight. “I completely lost my passport—call it a brain fart if you will. We searched for about three hours before departure. I almost had a meltdown. I’m normally very organized when it comes to planning and logistics. But this time, I don’t know what happened. Thanks to the amazing people at the Australian embassy, I had a temporary passport within 24 hours and we were able to change flights. I was definitely counting my blessings on the plane to Japan.”

3. As soon as she landed in Manila after her wedding in Boracay, she went straight to pull out clothes. She and Echo worked on a blog shoot for that day. “We love what we do and we both are greatly ambitious, so we are still pursuing our own goals, as well as those we have now as a married couple.”
