In time for the release of its movie adaptation, National Book Store releases the Filipino edition of John Green’s best-selling and award-winning Young Adult novel, “The Fault in Our Stars.”

Hailed as the No. 1 fiction book of the year in 2012 and described as “genius” by Time magazine, “Fault”  tells the love story of Hazel and Augustus,  both cancer patients.

Hazel’s life has been terminal despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that extends her life for a few more years. Things change when she finally meets Augustus in a Cancer Kid support group.

“Fault” has been translated into several languages, including Dutch, German, Spanish, French, Swedish, Danish, Icelandic, Hebrew, Chinese, Portuguese.

“We thought it was the best choice as our first translated work since it has been a consistent best-seller, and John Green has really touched the lives of many Filipino readers,” said Xandra Ramos-Padilla, NBS purchasing director.

The Filipino edition  is translated by journalist and professor Danton Remoto.
