JAPANESE food’s distinctive flavors and signature cooking techniques could be turned into a money-making venture at Golden Treasure Skills and Development Program’s day-long seminar on Japanese cuisine.
The seminar will also offer lessons on Chinese, Thai, Singaporean, Indian, Malaysian and Vietnamese dishes.
The seminar will be held at the College of Social Work and Community Development building along Magsaysay Avenue cor. Ylanan Street at University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City, on July 6, Sunday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
There will be actual demonstrations on how to prepare salmon and tuna sashimi, California maki, Hawaian maki, kusiage fried shrimp, meat and vegetable tempura, tonkatsu, gyuudon rice topping, dashi, yakitori and yakisuki.
Participants will also be taught to prepare different sauces for tempura, yakitori, salads, sakana and many more.
Asian dishes included in the seminar are tom yum goong, pad thai, chicken curry, bha mi, laksa, satay, tandoori chicken, bhindi masala fry and many more.
Lunch and snacks will be provided as well as handouts, certificates of training and raw materials to be used in the hands-on training.
