There will be over 100 images of the Blessed Virgin Mary on exhibit.
It will coincide with the nine-day novena Mass (6 p.m.) from July 24 to Aug. 1 at the parish church. The images will be displayed around the 424-year-old quadrangle of the Franciscan convent which was built in 1950 by the patron himself, San Pedro Bautista, located behind the parish church.
The wide array of images come mainly from Bulacan where the Virgin Mary is patroness.
Another holy ground that will also be opened for public viewing and meditation is the cave where San Pedro Bautista actually spent most of his time in prayer and solitude.
Other highlights include works of Franciscan saints who popularized devotions to the Virgin Mary like the Angelus and Salutations, among others. The exhibit will be open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., and from 2 to 8 p.m.
On Aug. 3 after the 5:15 p.m. Mass, there will be a solemn procession of selected images to be accompanied by the Quezon City Band for deeper appreciation of parishioners, friends and guests.
The parish is at 69 San Pedro Bautista Street, about 1 km away from Fisher Mall on Quezon Avenue.
