Manila Bay photography contest winners known

Anchor Land announced the winners of its Iconic Impressions Manila Bay Photography Contest at Sofitel Philippine Plaza last July 1.

 

The contest challenged lensmen to capture the beauty of Manila Bay in their photographs.

 

Anchor Land president Elizabeth Ventura gave out the awards.

 

Of the 16 finalists, there were two grand prize winners. In the enthusiast category, the top prize was won by Arthur Esguerra for his “Manila Bay and the City.” He took home P50,000 plus a trophy and a certificate of excellence.

 

In the professional category the grand prize was won by Roberto Reyes for “Golden Moment.” He received P100,000 plus a trophy and a certificate of excellence.

 

Three runners-up per category each received P5,000.

Jurors were fashion designer Frederick Peralta, architectural historian and urban planner Paulo Alcazaren and photographer Edwin Martinez.

 

Anchor Land is redeveloping the original Admiral Hotel fronting Manila Bay.

 

It is set to open in 2016 as the first 5-star boutique hotel in the country, and the only hotel in the Philippines that will be part of the Accor Group’s MGallery Collection.
