Converse, Inc. will hold “Sneakers Clash”—a series of art installations by street artists who transform blank walls into massive art pieces.

“Sneakers Clash” is inspired by the Spring 2014 Converse All Star sneaker collection, featuring dynamic color pops and elevated silhouettes. The undoubted hero of the collection is the Converse All Star Chuck ’70—a new take on an American icon.

Timed against the launch of the Spring 2014 Converse All Star sneaker collection, the “ Sneakers Clash” series will be brought to life on Philippine soil through #clashwall.

Converse has teamed up with three Philippine street artists who will paint visceral works against a static wall.

The “Sneakers Clash” Philippines series was kicked off by artist and designer Chad Manzo.

SINUOUS lines characterize #clashwall, the local artistic initiative for Converse’s “Sneakers Clash,” which are actually letters of baybayin, the native alphabet. “Some letters of the baybayin explode outwards from plain white strokes to color splatters and drips,” says Geotina.

He will be followed by Archie Geotina aka Chichimonster.

Chi’s mixed-media paintings references pop art. He will be bringing his art to the streets of Cebu soon.

Following Chi’s #clashwall is Cebuano designer, illustrator and creative director of local shirt brand, Nick Automatic, Nicolo Nimor.
