Venice Biennale proposals to be accepted till Sept. 3

The Philippine Art Venice Biennale Coordinating Committee has announced that curatorial proposals will be accepted up to 12 midnight, Sept. 3.

 

Philippine participation at the Venice Biennale 2015 has been made possible because of the  Department of Foreign Affairs, National Commission for Culture and the Arts, and Sen.  Loren Legarda.

 

Proposal should contain: title of the exhibition; curatorial concept (800-1,000 words only); proposed exhibition layout; curriculum vitae of curator; curriculum vitae  of artist/s; budget (production of the works only); production timeline; and contact Information.

 

Qualifications of curator: Filipino citizen; has curated  international contemporary art exhibitions; has sufficient grasp of the issues in contemporary art.

 

Qualifications of artist/s: Filipino citizen; and must have participated in one major national exhibition.

 

Download open call proposal form (Word/PDF). Submit the completed form and all the necessary documents only via e-mail, with subject heading “Curatorial Proposal,” to info@philartvenicebiennale2015.net on or before Sept. 3 at 12 midnight. E-mailed proposal will be duly acknowledged upon receipt.
