Rustan’s is still the luxurious department store I’ve known through the years. It’s where a lot of fashion forward people find top brands from Asia, Europe and America.
The retail chain recently launched “World Wide Wear, Around the World in Fashion 2014” at the Raffles Residences in Makati. The items catered to the jet-set lifestyle.
Activities
Different activities kept guests busy. Imagine a 360-degree experience—dolled up mannequins, customized drinks inspired by global brands, a DJ playing an awesome set of music and a booth where you can mix and match pieces from the new collection called #MyJetsetterStyleRack.
The fashion show consisted of stylish outfits for men and women that can be worn for every occasion. The pieces shown were a variety of ready-to-go wear from casual to formal, from a weekday meeting with a client to a weekend wine night with friends.
For men, showcased were playful pairings for a dapper, sleek and noteworthy look from Hackett, Ascott Chang, Oleg Cassini, Pedro del Hierro and Armani Jeans.
Ladies’ wear was made up of sexy and sophisticated styles with intricate details like lace, prints and striking colors. There were fab gowns from Monique Lhuillier, Tadashi Shoji and Trina Turk.
‘Passport to Fashion’
A multipurpose bag from Longchamp and an iconic bag from Fendi and Rafe accentuated the outfits.
Head to the Rustan’s Department Store concierge to avail of a ‘Passport to Fashion’ which entitles the bearer to blue and gold stamps to gain access to the Frequent Flyer Lounge in Rustan’s Makati and Rustan’s Shangri-La Plaza branches as well as exclusive discounts and offers from Sept. 1 to Oct. 5.
This month, the Writers Bar, Long Bar and Spectrum in Raffles and Fairmont Makati will offer a variety of pastries and a specially designed cocktail menu.
All FSP2 (frequent shopper) cardholders triple their points when they purchase American labels from Sept. 19 to 21.
