We asked Patricia to talk about her day-to-day routine and inspirations.
What is your daily beauty regimen?
I use Cathy Valencia’s facial wash, toner and moisturizer every day. I believe doing so has helped keep my skin fair and oil-free. I make it a point to apply sunblock every day. I use Shiseido with SPF 50. I don’t wear a lot of makeup daily, but I make sure that my skin is protected against UV rays.
What is the one beauty product you can’t live without?
I have really thick hair, so I use a lot of conditioner. If I could have only one beauty product in the world, it would have to be a really good conditioner, like Kérastase’s nutritive
conditioner, so my long hair stays hydrated and in good shape.
Whose fashion sense do you admire?
I admire Elie Saab, Zuhair Murad and Michael Cinco.
What is your personal style?
I always aim to look classic and timeless.
Where do you like to shop for your daily outfits?
I can shop anywhere and everywhere.
How has being a makeup artist shaped your career as a fashion designer?
All my life I have always been attracted to everything fashion and beauty—mixing and matching clothes at home, working on costumes for school plays and experimenting with makeup. After graduating from fashion design, I became a makeup artist. But my imagination took me to my true calling as a fashion designer. I take everything about my profession seriously, and I challenge myself daily to be better in everything that I do. I love my job. My happiness lies in seeing my clients happy with the outcome.
