The I AM HOPE campaign is the external flagship project of Kythe-Ateneo, a student arm of Kythe Incorporated, a non-stock, non-profit organization aimed towards improving the quality of life of chronically-ill pediatric patients through its Child Life Program.
Now on its 6th year, the campaign seeks to further broaden the awareness on how medical conditions should not be seen as limiting factors to the children’s abilities to experience the childhood they deserve.
It will involve a group effort among newly established and sustained partnerships with external foundations, universities and organizations.
This year, I AM HOPE: Superheroes’ Day Out aims to celebrate the strength and bravery of our little superheroes who continue to conquer their daily struggles against cancer and other chronic illnesses.
It will be held on September 27, 2014 from 11:30 AM to 5:00 p.m. at the University of the Philippines College of Science Amphitheatre. Sixty (60) children from five Kythe-affiliated hospitals, namely the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Medical Center, Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC), National Children’s Hospital (NCH), Philippine Heart Center (PHC), and Philippine Orthopedic Center (POC) have been invited to the event.
There are three ways on how people can further contribute to this campaign:
- Become a volunteer and be part of our three-way buddy system (https://tinyurl.com/IAH2014buddy)
- Sponsor-an-expense
- Buy the official I AM HOPE: Superheroes’ Day Out shirt (https://tinyurl.com/IAH2014shirt)

Because after all, kids should be flying kites, not fighting cancer.
