MANILA, Philippines — Things will be better in 2015, the Year of the Wood Sheep, according to an international Feng shui expert.
“There will always be positive and negative but it’s hoping that it’s not as bad as the last three years when the charts screwed up,” said international Feng shui expert Marites Allen recently.
The Year of the Wood Sheep in the Chinese lunar calendar is from February 19, 2015 to February 7, 2016.
She explained that the destiny chart for 2015 has indications of all five elements and all four pillars of the charts, making next year better than 2014, which has too much Fire and lacking Earth and Water elements.
The Sheep is the eighth year in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese calendar. For them, this number is a symbol of good fortune. Thus next year will be a period of good fortune, peace and abundance.
Luck will be favorable to most Chinese animal signs in the Year of the Wood Sheep, according to Allen.
Those born under the Year of the Sheep will have good luck, while good fortune awaits those born under the Year of the Monkey because the prosperity star for the year is with them. Those under the Year of the Horse will also be prosperous.
The wealth star is with those born under the Year of the Rat this coming year.
Those under the Years of Tiger and Ox will be lucky in terms of “heavenly luck” because they will receive gifts they are not expecting, Allen said.
The ones born in the Years of Dog and Boar will have more loving energy for the year. The ones under the Year of the Rabbit are on for a great time.
Allen warned that those born under the Year of the Rooster will have the misfortune star.
The illness star will go to those born in the Years of Dragon and Snake.
But one’s animal sign in the Chinese zodiac is only a small factor, said Allen: The animal sign is a teeny part. The elements of your own self are important.
The complete reading would depend on one’s birth date and the time of birth.
Allen, a devout Catholic, claimed that there is no harm in embracing Feng shui in one’s lifestyle.
“Feng shui is there to guide us. I really work hard so much. Masipag tayo. Pray…Why don’t you do things that will change your luck….Feng shui is there to guide us but it’s up to the person if they do not need to make use of it…It doesn’t harm if you apply,” she said.
Feng shui convention
Allen will hold a more elaborate forecasts for next year at a Feng shui convention on Dec. 27 at Luxent Hotel in Quezon City. Participants are expected to learn tips on how to unlock their good potentials and opportunities for the following year. They will also be taught how to protect themselves from negative energies.
On Nov. 9, Allen’s Feng shui boutique, Frigga Charmed Life, will open at SM Mall of Asia. Her “auspicious fashion line” www.frigga.co.uk that opened in March this year has already shipped to over 16 countries worldwide. Her products can be considered as “lucky charms” as it supposedly carries auspicious symbols as it is based on established Feng shui principles that align and balance the five natural elements that can attract prosperity and harmony.
“It has always been my dream, and this event in November is another milestone for me. I couldn’t have done this without the support of people who believe in me and in what I do,” she said.
