“Beautiful! Beautiful!” Imelda Marcos exclaimed, upon the unveiling of the silkscreen portrait of her, done by acclaimed artist-photographer Rupert Jacinto. Held at a champagne reception at the seventh-floor Lounge of the Salcedo Park in Salcedo Village, the new work introduces the silkscreen segment in the “Faaabvlous V” coffee-table book and photo exhibit at the Peninsula Manila in November.
Five silkscreen portraits were on display—Imelda Marcos, Ping Valencia, Mayenne Carmona, Marissa Fenton and Tina Jacinto. Delicious canapés were provided by Annie Tanco of Bizu, champagne and wines by Tita Trillo of Titania Wine Cellar and music by Danny Favis.
The forthcoming “Faaabvlous V” is sponsored by Peninsula Manila in support of the Love-A-Parish program of Sto. Niño de Paz Chapel, under its chaplain Fr. Jun Sescon, and for the advocacy programs of the Advertising Foundation of the Philippines.
