It is with sadness that we announce the passing of advertising giant and well-loved (and well-read) Lifestyle columnist Herminio “Minyong” G. Ordoñez on Nov. 6, 2014.
Ordoñez’s “Gut Feel” column was declared “Best Opinion Column” by the Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA) in 2012. Whether writing about his childhood days in Laguna, his staunch Catholic faith, or his adventures as the creative genius behind such iconic ads as the Jollibee “Langhap Sarap” campaign, Minyong was always an engaging storyteller. He will be sadly missed.
