Axis released its first limited-edition timepiece for the movie “Man of Steel,” in time for its screening in 2013. Only 300 pieces of the Axis Man of Steel timepiece were released around the world, providing collectors with a souvenir of the American cultural icon.
In the same year, Axis partnered with nongovernment organization Children’s Hour to help in the Time of Hope project for the people of Tacloban affected by Supertyphoon “Yolanda.”
This year, Axis has teamed up once again with Children’s Hour in the project “A Class of Your Own.” Axis has also collaborated with renowned Filipino artists Ram Mallari, Buds Convocar and Salvador Ching to showcase inspiring artworks created with the use of Axis watch parts.
Celebrities Sam YG and Lucky Mercado visited the artists’ work hub for a one-on-one session on the creation of the Axis art pieces. The works were put on display and were up for bidding at the “Time Out of Time” exhibit Nov. 6-12 at SM Mall of Asia. Proceeds from the auction were given to the “A Class of Your Own” project.
