THE PERFECT cat eye is all about the angle of the flick. Align the angle with the end of your eyebrow, says Uchiide.
THE PERFECT cat eye is all about the angle of the flick. Align the angle with the end of your eyebrow, says Uchiide.

The most difficult part of the cat eye is the angle of the flick towards the end of your outer eye. Uchiide recommends using the “Golden Rule of Eyebrows” to get this angle right: Use the end of your eyebrow to align the angled part of the cat eye.

2

Draw the angle first. Once you’ve gotten this, draw the line entirely from the inside corner of your eye all the way back to the angle to fill in the gap.

Uchiide says it’s important to keep your eyes open and look straight in the mirror when finishing the cat eye.

4

For a casual daytime cat eye, you can focus the cat eye just by lining the upper eye. For a more dramatic look, line the lower lash line as well.

To balance out the cat eye, Uchiide recommends elongating the eyebrows a little bit, too. Tatin Yang, Contributor
