“Hats are like perfume: They’re personal and should complement your style, not work against it,” says hat designer Albertus Swanepoel, whose works have been preferred by Vogue magazine’s Anna Wintour, and who was a finalist at the CFDA Fashion Fund, also sponsored by Vogue.
His hats have landed on Vogue covers, are worn by Hollywood celebrities, and are seen on the runways of New York, Milan and Paris fashion weeks. Given his resumé, his creations should be pricey. In fact, they’re not. Bench has made the price points very affordable.
Bench, which has a way of making high-fashion trends accessible to everyone, collaborates with Swanepoel in creating a series of hats, caps and fedoras. Some were made using indigenous Filipino fabrics and patterns.
Twisted camo
Experimenting is one thing that Swanepoel has a penchant for. The shape and fabric of this cap give a new twist to the typical camo print.
Autumn hue
Burgundy may be a common fall color, but on a classic fedora, it can accentuate practically any look.
Mix it up!
The pattern and the color scheme of this unique cap bring out the artist that is Swanepoel. Wear it with a basic top or a more stylish outfit, and it will surely enhance your look.
Metallic mania
To create a fresh and chic vibe, pair this metallic cap with toned-down essentials like this neutral-colored statement tee.
Glam rock
Black and gold make a killer color combination that exudes sophistication and high style. Use it on a cool cap. Glam rock is the name of the game, no matter the outfit.
