And just like that, it’s the middle of the Christmas season.
This year’s theme at Solaire Resort and Casino is “Festive Filipino Christmas.” The property’s 15-foot Christmas trees are made of balete leaves, twigs and trims made of sinamay, butterfly leaves and tapioca berries.
The handcrafted ornaments are made of various indigenous materials such as clam shell with wooden accents, burlap with clear recycled glass pellets, pine cone tips, glass pellets and nito vines with wooden beads.
These recycled materials were gathered from Bicol, Benguet, Cebu, La Union and Pangasinan, among other provinces.
Solaire president and chief operating officer Thomas Arasi, along with host Issa Litton, vice president for brand marketing Jasper Evangelista, and vice president for hotel operations Gianpietro Iseppi, unwrapped the huge “Gift of Light” at the main lobby during the hotel’s Christmas tree-lighting ceremony.
At the event, guests and the hotel’s team members were serenaded with festive Christmas carols by the Philippine Madrigal Singers and the Leggiero Strings.
This season, Solaire has come out with a special chocolate and wine gift pack sold at the Christmas counter at the main lobby. Proceeds of the gift items will be donated to a feeding program of St. Joseph Parish for indigent children from Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City.
Aside from the special holiday promo, an array of Christmas goodies, including gingerbread cookies, is available at the Christmas counter.
