A holiday do-at-home project for kids

Christmas is all about the kids, so bring on the fun projects! Here’s one to keep your little ones creative and occupied this holiday season, especially during bad weather that keeps them stranded indoors. (This is courtesy of RM Boxes in San Juan.)

You will need:

A piece of cardboard rolled into a cone. Staple to secure.

Paper baking cups, 3 oz size

Glue

Scissors

Procedure:

  1. Fold the paper cups in half.

  1. Cut the bottoms out.

  1. For the wider bottom of your cone, cut one side of paper cup open.

  1. For the bottompart, glue the pleated paper around, covering the cardboard cone completely. Once you get near the top you can insert the bottomed out paper through the tip of the cone. Layer till you get to uppermost tip.

5. Add star or tie a ribbon.
