In celebration of the 75th anniversary of Quezon City, the Philippine Horticultural Society Inc. (PHS) will hold Horticultura Extravaganza on Jan. 23-Feb. 3 at the Quezon Memorial Circle.

 

Theme is “Yaman sa Paghahalaman (Treasures of Gardening),” said PHS president Dorie Bernabe.

 

Bernabe said that with the help of the Quezon City government, PHS has now a permanent office with a laboratory for hybridization, tissue culture and mass production.

 

Various activities with their managers during the fair are: landscape and plant competition (Yoyong La O); international trade show (Neil Boyet Ganigan); seminars and lecture-demonstrations (Wendy Regalado); floral float parade and street dancing (Francis Gener of King Louis Flowers and Plants); conferences and tours (Romeo Gutierrez and Leny Fabul); commercial exhibits (Beth Mariano and Marilouis Estrella); and dog and animal show (Tifany and Edward Cham).
