Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero and actress Heart Evangelista shared their joy anew with family and friends with a grand reception and concert of their favorite artists at Blue Leaf Filipinas in Parañaque City.
The event, which featured such performers as Regine Velazquez, Ogie Alcasid, Christian Bautista and Gary Valenciano, came in the heels of the couple’s Sunday wedding at the exclusive Balesin Club in Quezon.
The newlyweds made a grand entrance from a spiral staircase decked with dangling flowers.
Evangelista looked radiant in a strapless tiered tulle number with lace appliqués by Monique Lhuillier, while Escudero beamed with pride in a three-piece suit.
They also did traditional wedding practices they weren’t able to do in Balesin like retrieving the garter and bouquet throwing.
President Aquino, the senator’s good friend, was unable to join the couple. In his place was best man and Escudero’s older brother Philip Escudero, who proposed a toast in honor of the couple.
