Year of Sheep: Best time for Aquino to reach out, Binay to clear things up

MANILA, Philippines–Good news for President Aquino. Though rats are generally not on good terms with sheep, in 2015, detractors will become his friends.

This is what psychic astrologer George Sison forecasts for the Year of the Sheep, which he sees as a year of calmness, harmony, peace and relative “slowness,” in contrast to the energetic and eventful Year of the Horse.

Aquino was born in the Year of the Metal Rat (Feb. 8, 1960).

“The child in P-Noy needs both love and discipline, and should make decisions that are aligned with his vision,” Sison says.

The year 2015 is also seen as abounding with gentleness, generosity and closeness with the family as sheep are the type of animals that “are able to perceive the beauty in all things.”

The tame sheep may, however, make unwise decisions and sacrifices for the sake of peace, Sison says.

Support ‘rightfully deserved’

According to Malaysian-based feng shui expert Joey Yap, who visited the Philippines recently, 2015 is the best year for Aquino, or those born under the rat sign, to “reach out to others and seek the support that he rightfully deserves.”

The President is facing some issues involving friends and colleagues, including resigned Philippine National Police Chief Alan Purisima.

Yap says some of the challenges encountered in 2014 will be carried on into 2015.

“We can expect to see a worsening in natural disasters such as floods. We can also expect to see cyclones and tornadoes this year,” he says.

Other forecasts

Sison advises Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago (born in the Year of the Rooster) to rejoice at every opportunity to begin anew. Success and prosperity are assured, he adds.

He sees Sen. Grace Poe, born in the Year of the Monkey, as having the tendency to focus on the problem and not the solution. Focus on the solutions for they are at hand, he advises Poe.

For Manny Pacquiao and Vice President Jejomar Binay, both born in the Year of the Horse, this is the time for clearing up matters that have been left unresolved and then move on to something more enjoyable and fulfilling, he says.

“Perhaps, Pacquiao should now resolve all his problems with taxes,” Sison says.

Thriving businesses

In 2015, Yap says, several industries, mainly the retail industry and the consumer goods sector, will benefit from the positive qi of the wood goat/sheep year.

The wood element being strong this year, the oil and petroleum and agricultural industries will be favorable in 2015, he says.

“Those who are in the financial advisory field, mining or quarry business, will see an increase in both growth and profits this year. Oil and petroleum industries will also be prosperous in 2015. The same goes for construction, healthcare and e-commerce sectors,” Yap says.

However, the real estate business will not be that robust this year as the earth element is stagnant in the BaZi Chart of 2015.

The outlook on property investment, Yap says, will depend very much on the way one invests. His advice: If you’re a short-sighted investor, this might not be a good year for you. On the other hand, a long-sighted investor will have more to gain this year.

Yap says 2015 may be a good year to buy stocks. “Most of the shares will be undervalued. Therefore this might be a good year to acquire stocks,” he says.

Manufacturing businesses may also not do so well, unless it is a business that has something to do with electrical and electronics. Other industries that will do well are construction, e-commerce, alternative energies, healthcare, biotechnology, scientific research and technology.

Not a magic bullet

Feng shui is seen by many as a magic bullet for all woes, or a mysterious thing like casting a spell that can lead to instant wealth. This is not entirely accurate, Yap says.

“Much of feng shui has become mixed with folklore and superstition, making it hard to distinguish between the genuine practice and an old wives’ tale,” he says.

According to Yap, feng shui is a science that is grounded in proper theory and principles, all of which can be logically explained.

“No matter how good one is in practicing feng shui, nothing beats hard work and effort,” he says.

Chinese metaphysics does not subscribe to the usage of “lucky gems,” Yap says. Charms or lucky gems do not do much more than influence a person on a psychological level, he says.

Yap is the founder of Mastery Academy of Chinese Metaphysics, a global organization devoted to the teaching of feng shui, BaZi, Qi Men Dun Jia, Mian Xiang and other Chinese metaphysical subjects. He recently gave a talk and personal forecasts for guests of Resorts World Manila.
