MANILA, Philippines — The biggest annual hot air balloon festival in Southeast Asia is bound to happen this March 26-29 in Pradera Verde, Prado Siongco, Lubao, Pampanga.

The 2nd Lubao International Balloon Festival will feature more than 40 colorful hot air balloons from different countries all over the world, 15 of which are special-shaped like Darth Vader, Yoda, and Humpty Dumpty.

“As long as we have the place and we have the support of the volunteers and the willingness of the balloonists to come to the Philippines, this is going to be yearly. The more balloon festivals, the better for the economy,” Noel Castro, event chairman, told INQUIRER.net last Thursday.

Aside from ballooning, other activities such as water balloon fight, night glow, motor paragliding and paint ball exhibition can be enjoyed by festival-goers.

Tickets for the event are priced at P250 and can be purchased at SM Tickets.
