Japanese culinary icon chef Nobu Matsuhisa visits City of Dreams (COD) Manila’s new Nobu Hotel on March 18 to take over the kitchen for an exclusive dinner.

He will prepare a multicourse menu of Mixed Sashimi Salad with Red and Green Jalapeño Dressing; Four-Way Tasting with Grouper New Style, Chu Toro Wasabi Salsa, Mamakari Namban-zuke, and Lobster Quinoa Ceviche; Nobu’s acclaimed Sushi Course; Black Cod with Jalapeño Miso; Wagyu Eringi with Red Onion Shiso Salsa; Heart of Palm Noodle Soup; and Shaved Ice.

The chef is credited for inventing the Nobu style of sushi preparation and fusion cuisine that has become tantamount to art.

Born and raised in Saitama, Japan, Nobu served a rigorous apprenticeship in a respected sushi bar in Tokyo. His dream of seeing the world moved him to open a sushi bar in Peru.

Now his culinary empire covers 36 restaurants in 31 cities and five continents.

Tickets to the dinner to be held at Nobu Hotel’s restaurant in COD Manila are at P7,000 each.

Nobu will also sign copies of his books—“Nobu: The Cookbook,” “Nobu Now,” and “Nobu’s Vegetarian Cookbook”—to be sold for P3,000 each at the dinner.

Chef Nobu will be supported by the Nobu Hotel at COD Manila team led by executive chef Zack Hillberry, hotel general manager Marlon Hirsh, and restaurant manager Casper Khamphouy.

The 321-room Nobu Hotel—championed by Academy Award-winning actor Robert De Niro and Hollywood producer Meir Teper—is aimed at giving guests a celebrity-inspired fun-luxury experience at COD Manila, Melco Crown Entertainment’s new integrated casino resort in Entertainment City, Manila.

City of Dreams Manila is at Asean Avenue corner Roxas Boulevard, Entertainment City, Parañaque; tel. 8008080, 6912882.
