Every girl should have a nude eye shadow palette on her dresser. Whether she uses it from day to night or for the most basic to glam looks, it is timeless.
I personally have five matte eye shadow colors from MAC, used alternately, most of the time about three shades of brown to add definition to my eyes.
Given a penchant for warm tones, I was so excited upon seeing makeup artist Tom Pecheux’s desert-inspired palettes for Derek Lam’s Fall-Winter 2015 presentation at New York Fashion Week. His unique but simple looks strengthened my conviction in the strong pigments and easy application that MAC eye shadows deliver.
The nude lips and pale skin of the models were enhanced by a cat eye using only one shade of eye shadow.
It was a clean look— strong but subtle, and appealing all at once. When doing makeup, always remember it’s important to practice restraint.
