To celebreate Madrid Fusion Manila happening later this month, the Department of Tourism has mounted “Flavors of the Philippines.” The monthlong food fest is happening simultaneously in Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao. There is much to like and choose from including tapas festivals, food tours and tastings, agricultural fairs, bazaars, food festivals in restaurant and hotels, gourmet meals and special dinners by celebrity chefs, food trucks, concerts and food features in museums, galleries, theaters and malls.
Participating restaurants are Cibo, Casa Marcos, X046 Philippines, Tapeo, Lusso, Aracama Filipino Cuisine, Cirkulo, Cyma, Grace Park, Alta Restaurant, Spiral, Marco Polo Cebu, Alba, Bistro Eleven and La Casa Agua in Hotel H20.
‘Tapas Night’
On April 11, “Tapas Night” will be held at Green Sun Hotel in Makati City to feature seven best Spanish chefs based in the Philippines. The tapas will be served with a wide selection of wines, cava and other liquors from Spain.
Select SM Supermalls (premiere malls and regional malls) and Ayala Malls will also feature Spanish-inspired menus in their food courts and in participating restaurants.
