The subcommission on Cultural Heritage of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, in cooperation with the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Grants Office and the UST Varsitarian, presents “Santo Niño, Hope of the People,” a photo exhibition by young and multi-awarded photographers Angelo Bacani and Paul Quiambao in celebration of the 450th Anniversary of the Finding (Kaplag) of the Image of the Santo Niño de Cebu.
The exhibit is part of the celebration of May as National Heritage Month.
The exhibit reflects the Filipinos’ undying faith in the Santo Niño. It also shows the photographers’ journeys in faith as they strengthen their devotions to the Pit Señor via the Sinulog and Kaplag festivities.
The fundraising and traveling photo exhibition comes from its SM City Cebu leg to Manila and will open today, May 4, at the lobby of the Buenaventura Garcia Paredes, O.P. Building (old UST Gym), UST campus, España Blvd., Sampaloc, Manila.
The exhibit is presented in part by Colours Digital Foto and the Executive Committee of the 450th Kaplag Anniversary.
