LGV residents get a taste of #HIPBackyardGrill

Attended by more than 300 people, the Backyard Grill At The Park held last April 25 at The Gardens, Loyola Grand Villas was undeniably a success. “We’re overwhelmed by the number of guests who came to spend their day with us,” says Marlene Tanjuatco, board member of the LGV Homeowners Association.

Backyard Grill At The Park started June of last year with its first leg held in Dasmarińas Village and was also in Ayala Alabang and Urdaneta Village soon after. The event became a great way to bring a community together and provide assistance to various charitable institutions chosen by each of the concessionaire. For the LGV leg, guests enjoyed the dishes from Frango’s Portuguese Style Chicken and Malcolm’s Burgers. Cravings for sweets were satisfied with Kalookies, Scarsdale Artisanal Delights and Liq My Stick frozen treats. The beneficiaries for this event are Habitat for Humanity, Samaritan’s Place, World Hunger Relief and ATD Fourth World Philippines. Guests were entertained by YouTube singing duo Reese and Vica, and Ukulele Philippines. The latter also gave a free workshop.

Esteemed partners Robinsons Luxuria set up a Photo Booth so guests can have a memory of the fun fare, while Crate & Barrel distributed discount coupons. Meanwhile, Inquirer Plus gave free trial subscription to Inquirer’s Digital Newsstand.

On May 16, Backyard Grill At The Park will head south once more to San Lorenzo Village for another day-to-night revelry. Stay tuned for more details and check out #HIPBackyardGrill on social media.
