May 12 marked the official debut of Preen.ph, Inquirer’s latest lifestyle website. The launch was held at Project Pie in Park Square Makati; in attendance were personalities who’ve been making waves in their respective industries.

Preen.ph is a collaboration between Hinge Inquirer Publications, Inc. and Inquirer.net.

Hosting the launch was newlywed Tricia Centenera-Valenciano, who said: “It’s about time something fresh came along, something that’s inclusive and speaks to women.”

What women want

Hinge Inquirer publisher Bea Ledesma took the stage to set the record straight on what the site is: “Preen.ph is for women today—it’s what women want.”

While most local websites zone in on particular fields—fashion and beauty, food and beverage, or show biz and celebrities—Preen merges all these interests into one all-inclusive website.

As Ledesma put it, “Preen is the girl’s guide to everything. You want to know what purse to buy? It’s on Preen. What to eat at the new hot spot? Also on Preen. How to tweeze stray hairs on your nether region? That will probably be on Preen, too.”

Preen managing editor Cai Subijano said: “Preen talks to the fast-tracker female, someone who’s upwardly mobile and forward-thinking.”

From now on, making stories for and about women is possible, thanks to the Preen team.

The event just ended, but the story has only just begun.
