ASIA Coronel’s designs look like they come from the
closet of an adventurer. Their rich textures, bold patterns and subtle yet engaging colors exude a confidence clearly inspired by travel.
A recent graduate of the School of Fashion and the Arts, Asia is no
stranger to the worlds of fashion and travel.
For the past four years, this designer has also worked as a makeup
artist. Blushes and brushes were her mediums and her artistry has
graced runways, photo shoots, weddings and debuts.
Asia travels a lot, trying to see the world every moment she can.
She makes time to fly to a new destination at least three times a year.
Each trip gives her a brand-new take on style. One of her most
memorable trips, she says, was in Coron, Palawan, which opened her eyes to the beauty of the Philippines.
Unexpected cuts
Fashion-wise, Asia shows her adventurous side in the unexpected cuts of her garments. She also likes to blend East and West seamlessly, the way a skillful artisan would.
Her subtle palettes are a chic contrast to the striking patterns and accessories that adorn her clothes. It’s a perfect balance of elements that work for a truly global woman.
Each garment transforms you into a character with a story to tell. In one ensemble, you’re an Indian princess; in another, an African warrior. You can also be Asian in a continental land or a Filipino woman embracing her roots.
Not surprisingly, this passionate designer and tireless traveler has set her sights on creating a global
fashion brand, one that showcases designs that appeal to an international market—yet are still inherently Filipino.
