As Mt. Bulusan acts up in the background, two sultry Filipino models “emote” in the foreground, preening in flowing designer white columns. They’re oblivious to the rumblings of the famous volcano.

 

That’s a rare scenario. But, in fact, that was exactly what happened when Inquirer Lifestyle did its summer fashion shoot in Sorsogon a few weeks ago.

 

Mt. Bulusan put on a show for us, and—we like to think—we did as well for this natural diva of Sorsogon.

 

The shoot took us to the rich green fields, the breathtaking Bulusan Lake, its ethereal beauty more incredible at sundown, to the surfing mecca on the beaches of Gubat, and back to the contemporary chic of Siama Hotel.

 

Beautiful Philippines becomes the perfect backdrop for Philippine fashion.
