“My phone says that the temperature outside is just 35 degrees, but it feels like 50.” This is a line that has become part of daily conversations.
Hinge Inquirer Publications seeks to alleviate your summer woes through its Backyard Grill at the Park program.
After Backyard Grill at the Park’s successful visit to Loyola Grand Villas last month, it found its way back to Makati where it held another gig last May 16.
At the San Lorenzo football field, set up were wooden benches and tables with free copies of Hinge Inquirer’s community magazine Southern Living and luxury magazine Inquirer RED. There were also pinwheels and fans around.
Six food stalls allowed participants to take a break from their summer workouts and weekend errands.
Promenaders tried Cebu Lechon from Tatang’s, bagnet wraps from Gourmet Garage, grilled cheeseburger from Skull and Bones, and cheese with honey truffle mini baguette from Baguettini.
They also tried the other food stalls and see what they had to offer: Stanford x Shaw for ginger ale, Backyard Coffee for iced coffee, and Papa Diddi’s for handcrafted ice cream.
The musical duo Reese and Vica performed three acoustic sets.
Hinge Inquirer Publications is giving back. A percentage of the concessionaires’ sales will be given to charitable institutions such as Madre De Amore, Habitat for Humanity, Museo Pambata, Gawad Kalinga and SOS Children’s Village.
