The summer fashion parades continue to splash color all over Cebu. The latest was titled “In Bloom,” which caused quite a stir among the young and then some, one evening at the Atrium of SM City Cebu.
Models glided on the catwalk in a collection of clothes with floral patterns and designs, gathered from among the brands offered at SM City Cebu’s department store.
In the list were Espada, Folded and Hung, For Me, Forever 21, Fox, Hedgren, Loalde, Mango, Penshoppe, Promod, Regatta, Skechers, Sperry and Terranova.
Applauding from the ringside were Marissa Fernan with Cebu City Councilor Margot Osmeña, Elvira Luym and daughter Kaye Sala, Arcy Gayatin and daughter Cybill Guynn, Amparito Lhuillier seated with Anna Marie Dizon and Chinggay Utzurrum, Irma Atillo and Nonie Uy, and, among the very young crowd: Star Aberasturi, Gina Aberasturi, Hans Seniedo and Karl Arcenas.
Gracious hosts
That was quite a bash at the Cebu showroom of Volkswagen (VW) as the new Golf GTI (that stands for grand tourer injection) was formally launched.
Gracious hosts were VW Cebu general manager Tito Solomon, general sales manager Peachy Hapitan, and human resources manager Rebecca Enriquez.
On hand were Volkswagen VIPs from Manila and abroad like Giovanni Suarez, Josh Altarejos, Geraldine Gilera and John Dahlen.
Among the Cebu luminaries were UK honorary consul Tamsin Booth, Edgar and Cely Chiongbian, Julius and Nelia Neri, Virgie Locson, Joseph and Gloria Gaisano with Janel, Gaye and Joey Gaisano, Karlheinz Neumann, Nico and Liza Atillo, and Bobit Avila.
More: Tony Lozada, Edwin Ortiz, Francis Llaban, Josephine Sainz, Frances Siao, Queenie Ammann and Edmund Gaisano.
It wasn’t just the Golf GTI attracting attention and comment, but also the rest of the Volkswagen plethora: the updated version of the legendary Beetle, the new version of the Polo hatchback, and the impressive luxury SUV Touareg sport edition.
