Motherhood is an exciting and precious chapter in a woman’s life. It is an amazing journey, dahlings, that she will forever cherish with her little bundle of joy.
To celebrate this, leading diaper brand Pampers unveiled the best and—take note, palangga—driest diaper in 10 years Pampers Baby Dry at Active Fun, Bonifacio High Street.
The theme of this super happening was “Love at First Sight” and featured newest brand ambassador and first-time mom Andi Manzano-Reyes. Welcoming Andi to the Pampers famille and talking about the company’s newest surprises were Lisa Cunningham, communications manager of P&G Inc. who jetted in from Singapore, country marketing manager of P&G Distributing Inc. in the Philippines Jan Ang and brand manager Camille Aquino.
Andi and event host Gelli Victor kicked off the program with a conversation with partner pediatrician Dr. Apple Alfonso. They talked about the importance of ensuring up to 12 hours of dryness to help baby get complete sleep and how Pampers wants to “support all babies in achieving their firsts.”
Jan conducted a live demo for all the mommy guests with the help of Pampers’ Baby Wellness Specialists.
Mommies can also publish baby’s Firstbook movie, a personalized video of all baby’s firsts that they can share on Facebook! Hey, that’s great news, dahlings.

House party
House Manila, the coolest, newest dance club in town marked another milestone, dahlings, when it hosted the magical summer event of the year, the world renowned “Amnesia Ibiza.” Amnesia is one of the in demand, internationally renowned clubs in Ibiza, Spain, and has been consistently recognized as “one of the best global clubs.”
Over the years it has provided its patrons with the “Amnesia Dream” giving party-goers an unmatched experience when it comes to clubbing. The few times I was there, you can’t imagine the energy and adrenaline that hits you. And take note, dahlings, you don’t go there before 1 a.m. since the party goes on until after lunch at 2 p.m. the next day. Get the picture, dahlings?
This year Amnesia took over House Manila featuring Ibiza resident DJ Oliver Schmitz on the decks. The dance floor was extremely hot, hot, hot until early morning and all hands were in the air as DJ Oliver played world-class tracks exclusive to Amnesia. The horde of Manille’s regular party goers were present plus a platoon of the party suspects.
Adding to this over the top clubbing experience were eye-popping performances from the Universo Robots of Spain and the House Society Dancers.
You’ll love it, palangga.
House Manila is at G/F, Remington Hotel, Newport City, Pasay.
Wine launch
The wine that everyone has been waiting for has finally landed on our shores. Anna de Codorníu launched the cool Anna Blanc de Blancs Reserva.
The Anna Deck at the chic, high-end Vask was chosen as the perfect complement to De Codorníu’s brand with its gorgeous view of the skyline.
The early hours at the Deck proved challenging with the summer showers but guests enjoyed the cava indoors and waited it out until the cool breeze welcomed them back to the beautiful outdoor set-up.
Free-flowing Codorníu cava and wines proved to be the best complement to the delectable dishes served from the kitchen of Vask Dining Room as prepared by top chefs Chele Gonzalez and Ivan Saiz. Among the stylish guests in white were Paco Gago, the Codorniu Raventos brand ambassador to Southeast Asia; my pal architect and artist Carlo Calma and owner of Vask with his partner the vivacious Jean Fernando, Makati Shangri-La’s Lesley Tan and her group of fun friends; pretty Maia Puyat; the ever-stylish Macky Fah; “Asia’s Got Talent”’s Rovilson Fernandez; Mucking Around Manille’s Kathy Raneses and Jericho San Miguel, Justine Villareal of the uber fresh cava brand and tons more. Suffice it to say, everyone went home happy after bottle upon bottle of the bubbly was poured!
Check out Anna Deck, dahlings. It is a venue where everyone can enjoy their nights out, host dinners or celebrate bigger parties with the stylish crowd. It is also open for event bookings.
