Manila Marriott Hotel opened on July 1 the largest ballroom in the Philippines at the Newport City complex in Pasay City.
Marriott Grand Ballroom (MGB) offers 8,000 square meters of function space with 28 versatile areas that can be used for events, meetings, conventions, and exhibits.
The ballroom boasts a 3,000 sq-m pillarless venue that can accommodate 4,000 guests for cocktails and 2,500 for banquet setup.
The venue can be divided into four sections using state-of-the-art Skyfold technology partitions.
It also has 176 programmable pillow ceiling lights that can change to 360 colors, while the ceiling height can be adjusted from 12 meters to 10 meters for a more intimate gathering.
Marriott Manila has commissioned Hong Kong-based art consultant and international interior decorator Anja Silling of Melange Interiors Ltd. to create a luxurious ambience through modern art pieces.
The interior design of MGB is also inspired by the spirit of “bayanihan,” with renowned Filipino designer Kenneth Cobonpue’s creations adorning the ballroom.
Exciting dining spots were also opened inside MGB to cater to its customers.
