IT’S USUALLY at this time of the year when video game publishers announce their product lineup for the coming months.
It was very interesting, as the Big Three (Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony) all had surprises during their respective briefings.
Microsoft claimed this year has its “greatest game lineup in Xbox history,” which has a backwards compatibility with Xbox 360 games for the Xbox One as well as new hardware (Xbox Elite Wireless Controller).
Sony revealed a lot of long awaited fan-favorite games, such as the much-delayed “The Last Guardian,” as well as a remake of “Final Fantasy 7” and a kick-starter campaign for “Shenmue 3.”
Nintendo—which has preferred a digital presentation for some time now—showed off a modern take on “Star Fox” and first party titles such as “Super Mario Maker,” the game that hands over the reigns in creating levels to the users.
