A week ago I read about the verbal tussle between TV personality Kris Aquino and a certain Maria Ozawa, described as a former “adult video” star and rumored to be eyeing her brother P-Noy.
This seemed to upset Kris. “How many men has she gone to bed with?” Kris was supposed to have asked, to which Ozawa replied, “Not as many as you have.”
Curious about this exchange, I wondered whether this Maria was the same woman I’d seen in a Japanese adult video film a year or two ago.
I eventually confirmed this when a feature article came out in Inquirer Entertainment on July 10 entitled “Former AV idol Maria Ozawa goes mainstream with MMFF entry.”
In that article written by Allan Policarpio, Maria Ozawa (whose Japanese name is Miyabi) did not deny that she formerly worked as a porn star.
She said she was not forced to do that. She left that industry five years ago to go mainstream.
She will star with Robin Padilla in a horror film entitled “Nilalang”—a title which could probably be translated as “The Created” or “Offspring.”
I thought at first that Maria Ozawa was a Western woman because of her features, and was only given a Japanese-sounding screen name.
I learned from Policarpio’s article that she has a Japanese mother and a French-Canadian father.
Her reaction to her detractors and critics? They don’t bother her.
“The more they say bad things about me, the more I get attention. We can’t be liked by everyone. I do what I want to do,” she said, referring to her previous work as a porn star.
Somehow, this beautiful, innocent-looking former porn star reminds me of the talented but controversial Rosanna Roces (aka Osang), who is also very open and frank about whatever she does, whether people liked it or not.
She began her career as a stripper and never denied being that.
I remember when she was asked whether she thought she was being exploited for appearing in very bold and sexy roles. Osang quickly replied, “Of course not, I think I was the one who exploited them.”
Paranormal incident
Anyway, the reason I am writing about Maria Ozawa has something to do with a strange paranormal incident involving a DVD of hers.
Because of my curiosity about this Japanese former porn star, I reviewed the video I had of her one night last week.
I couldn’t imagine the things she allowed men to do to her in some scenes.
After watching the DVD for a while, I was returning it to its plastic case when suddenly the disc fell out of my hands.
I saw the disc fall down, but I didn’t see or hear it hit the wooden floor in front of my bed.
So, I looked under the bed using a strong flashlight. And I couldn’t see any sign of it. Next morning I looked for it again, and there was still no trace of it.
I asked my little invisible friends to please return my DVD after they were through watching Maria Ozawa. I didn’t know that she was also popular with elementals or nature spirits.
When I told my wife about the strange disappearance of the DVD before my very eyes, she was skeptical and wouldn’t believe it.
She said it might just be there and I would soon find it. I protested, saying I looked and looked in every place in the room, even in spots far from the bed. Still, no Ozawa DVD could be seen.
After two days, I asked my handyman Arnel to look for the DVD while I started changing clothes in the bathroom before going to work. Then I heard him shout, “I found it!”
What we both saw was impossible! The DVD was under the bed all right, but perched on the bed’s front side as if it was hanging on a frame.
It was not really hanging in the air, because there was a horizontal wooden bar on which it could rest. But it could not have gone there by itself.
It had to be carefully placed there by somebody. But nobody went inside my room.
I know this story is hard to believe and I don’t expect everybody to believe it. I am just glad I had a witness who had goosebumps when he saw where the DVD was.
