Dogs try Olympics; cats do cosplay

Pet Express recently held its third Doggie Pawlympics at the SM Mall of Asia. Canines competed in the Dock Diving and Dog Agility competitions.


Jojo Isorena of the Philippine Dog Athletics Association said pet parents must have their dogs try different sports.


Ezydog, a well-known pet brand, introduced Test Drive, in which dog participants tried Ezydog floatation vests and jumped in the pool for water fun.


Glen and Lisa Jones’s Labrador retriever Kona won first place in dock diving; BB Gandanghari’s Labrador Ihman placed second.


Meanwhile, Rob Magaling’s Jack Russell Terrier Max, Maria Fe Erasmo’s Shi tzu Macbe and Joe Calret’s Mini Pin Max, won the teacup dog agility competition.


The Pet Express Doggie Pawlympics event was held in partnership with Kibbles n’ Bits, Ezydog Maynilad Water and Philippine Dog Athletics Association.


Meanwhile, cat enthusiasts flocked to the Pet Express Kawaii Kats: Cat & Cosplay Festival on July 25. Cats took part in the Cosplay Fashion Show.
