Luxury retail has a brand new bastion in Cebu

The country’s oldest city, Cebu, is set to add another jewel to its crown, as Rustan’s expands its flagship department store in the Queen City of the South.

Inspired by the elegance and global outlook of the Cebuanos, Rustan’s Cebu is set to triple its scale. Bringing premiere labels and the assortment of choices the department store has been known for, Rustan’s aims to better match the emergent lifestyles in the heart of the Visayas.

After it opened in 1981 in the bustling Mango Avenue, Rustan’s Department Store in Cebu became a landmark in luxury retail in Cebu and nearby provinces. In 1995, it became part of the Ayala Center Cebu.

Now, a decade later, matching Cebu’s rise as a global manufacturing center and the lifestyle gateway to the region, Rustan’s Cebu reemerges with a stately new department store complex—three floors of prime retail space housing the world’s premium brands.

From the store’s original 2,500 sqm shopping space, Rustan’s Cebu now has three floors that total 10,000 sqm filled with select merchandise for Visayan consumers.

The new Rustan’s Department Store Cebu will have specialty levels housing cosmetics, fashion and home. It has wide, well-lit and well-curated shopping aisles.

The first level has the bolstered Men’s and Cosmetic sections. Ascot Chang, Oleg Cassini, Armani Jeans and Pedro del Hierro headline the sleekest selections in men’s apparel, as well as footwear from Kurt Geiger and Born Shoes.

Unique and interesting knick-knacks are at Discovery Shop, as well as luxury writing instruments and other accessories from Montblanc.

Fragrances and skincare

Sharing the floor are fragrances and skin care products from Murad, Clarins, La Prairie, Dermalogica, Diptyque and Acca Kappa, also cosmetic brands, Laura Mercier, Stila, Nars and Chanel.

The second level is the Ladies floor, with a wide range of fashion brands—celebrated designers Rafé, Rebecca Minkoff, Criselda Lontok and Cristofoli, with collections from Tadashi Shoji, Laundry, Stenay & Patra and Adrianna Papell. More pickings are offered for women from N Natori, Rachel by Rachel Roy, Lady Rustan Private Label, T Tahari and Sinequanone.

There are accessories from Lola Casademunt, Dooney & Bourke, Alexandre De Paris and Coccinelle.

On the same floor are the glint and glamour from Rustan’s Silver Vault. Jewelry from Ziio, Adami & Martucci, Ippolita and Mikimoto, with the finest diamonds and gems from Yvel and Tamara Comolli.

Young contemporary labels such as Alternative Apparel, Matix, Hailey Logan and Jelly Bunny are also on the second floor, giving the best assortments for the hip and edgy. There are eye-catching chronographs by Swiss brand ROD and Giorgio Fedon 1919 from Italy. There are also the fun and colorful jewels and watches of Dutch brand Colori.

On the top floor is Rustan’s home décor. There are special wares from Lenox, Royal Doulton and Bugatti, with exquisite pieces from Swarovski, Bernardaud, Lalique and Lladró.

On the same floor are selections for the youngsters who love to play with fashion—outfits from Neck & Neck, Kiddos, Rustan Jr. and Rustanette. Trunki and Skoot offer functional and practical playthings for the little ones.

All these and more comprise the prominent array of choices at Rustan’s Cebu.

The reopening offers special deals and gifts for loyal patrons. Enjoy up to 25 percent discount on select men’s wear, exciting rebates and freebies from the ladies’ department.

Special discounts of up to 20 percent await students (with valid IDs) in the new Rustan’s Cebu’s Young Contemporary section, with its awesome choices of trendsetting threads, while a 40 percent rebate awaits parents when they treat their tiny tots at the children’s section.

There are also special gifts from participating home and cosmetic brands.

The retail red carpet is laid out for the country’s Queen City.
