The metro welcomed the month August with rain showers and thunderstorms, yet the weather disturbance did not dampen the spirits of foodies to take part in what can be dubbed as the first of its kind to happen inside The Grove by Rockwell. Chill & Grill was undeniably a successful event.
The top class amenity deck of The Grove by Rockwell were lined with dining tents that accommodated over 600 people. Everyone were treated to sumptuous dishes courtesy of the different food concessionaires. Tatang’s Lechon, which offers authentic Cebu lechon was a hit, along with Ribs Manila and Baguetinni. Malcolm’s Burgers had everyone excited with its perfectly grilled meaty goodness, which were perfectly paired with the refreshing home-brewed ginger ale from Stanford Shaw. People queued for Cupcakes by Sonja’s new offerings — milkshakes and cupparons (mini-cupcakes topped with macarons) and the artisanal creamy frozen delights from Carmen’s Best. Apart from the tasty grilled offerings, Chill & Grill serenaded the guests with the soothing melodies of Keiko Necesario and RJ Dela Fuente.
This sunset fete not only brought together the community of The Grove by Rockwell, but also supported a worthy cause. All the concessionaires vouched to donate 30% of food sales for the day to the World Wide Fund for Nature to build awareness for its environmental projects around the Philippines. WWF volunteers went around to show and inform the guests of the organization’s various outreach programs.
Truly, Chill & Grill was a Saturday like no other. Mounted by HIP Events and powered by Hinge Inquirer Publications, Inc., Chill & Grill was brought to you by Northern Living Magazine, in partnership with The Grove by Rockwell, with media partners preen.ph, Inquirer Mobile, INQUIRER.net, Inquirer Plus, ClickTheCity.com and WhenInManila.com.
