Most celebrities get little to no privacy because of shutterbugs following them around for the next big scoop, causing a constant scuffle between them over privacy and consent issues.Given this less-than-ideal situation, Anne Hathaway made sure that she would make her official announcement on Instagram and not on the cover of a tabloid.
The 33-year-old posted a photo on her page last night of her posing in a bikini, smiling proud and wide, to flaunt her baby bump after she spotted someone—who she may have suspected was a paparazzo—taking photos of her during a trip to the beach, The Huffington Post reported.
Buzz about Anne’s first child with her husband of three years no comma Adam Shulman began sometime in November, but was never confirmed by the couple.
Anne wrote in the caption, “So, posting a bikini pic is a little out of character for me, but just now while I was at the beach I noticed I was being photographed. I figure if this kind of photo is going to be out in the world it should at least be an image that makes me happy (and be one that was taken with my consent.) And with a filter :)”
Good on Anne for taking matters into her own hands (even with the outdated Instagram filter). After all, things could’ve gone worse with the paps, like that time when she was one of our favorite childhood princesses back in the day.
